Dash
This past week we read a poem called " The Dash" by Linda Ellis. It was by far one of the best poems i have ever read. It honestly makes you think about how your living your life, what your doing and if your doing it right. This poem has showed me that the two numbers means the birth and death but the dash has a history, memories, happiness and tears behind it. I personally have a connection with this poem because of a loved one i lost a year ago it makes me think like i shouldn't have been grieving over the death so much but appreciating the "dash"we had together. That our memories hold so much value and we should make the best out of every day and shouldn't take life for granite. You only have one life to live you should live it make the best out of it because for all you know "your dash could be at mid-range". Overall i think this poem has a lot of meaning and passion to reach out to all kinds of people in different situation.

I agree with you completely. I have never wanted to do what I want because I always thought I had more time. But the truth is we don't. The poem inspired me to stop letting other people rule me and let me make my decsions. This has inspired me to live each and stop thinking about what's next or is there more
