Today i was listening to that new song out by B.O.B called "Nothing on You" and it had me thinking about how much the word "Beautiful" has been some how downgraded to words like "Sexy" and "Fine". No offense, some girls may prefer words like sexy and fine, there's nothing wrong with that. But i think the word beautiful is more genuine, intimate, romantic, and shows that not only is it maybe towards your looks but also can be towards your personality and all around self. Sexy and fine can only pertain to your looks, unless its used like " you got a sexy attitude" lol. They just don't hit all the angles that the word "Beautiful" can in my opinion. And to point out there, lots of music videos out right now just say how she's sexy and fine instead of "Beautiful", which is how this song caught my attention, because of it being so different from most of the others. I genuinely like this song and believes it has a good message. What do you think? Why do most guys use those words like sexy and fine?. Why not use "Beautiful" more often? What do you ladies prefer?

ReplyDeleteI agree that the word beautiful has developed into a new meaning. Now it is not referred to what a person has to offer on the inside but their looks are what is most important. It doesn't even portray what many realistic people would say beautiful is. Now that the meaning has changed most people would refer to beautiful as being fine or pretty and not for what a person has to offer inside.
ReplyDeleteI wouold rather be called beautiful rather than sexy anyday. ANyone with a big butt and bust can be sexy, but to be beautiful means to look genuinely amazing to someone. Tip guys: if you call a girl beautiful chances are theyll beleive you rather than you calling them the same thing they hear in every hallway and every video.

Its such a tutrn off and such a common saying,To be called beautiful is the men look past your looks into your heart and personality. Hint hint guys,Its defintaly a better chance that you will get a girl when you call her beautiful
ReplyDeleteI would perfer beautiful. All those other words to me, yes those words can make you feel special at times. Then again it can be a turnoff for the most part. If you I guess refer to someone and say " o you look fine today", then thats ok. But to me I would like beautiful instead.
ReplyDeleteI dont think its so much a turn off to be called fine or sexy but i just thinks its something completely different altogether. "fine" and "sexy" to me are like sayin you have a nice face or body or even id do you(when used like that its a turn off lol) but to be called beautiful is something more. That means to me that they find every angle of YOU attractive...they see you a lil differently than other girls. It means they truly think you are a beautiful person inside and out....unless they said it cuz they read this post lol
