Picture Perfect
As I’m sitting her trying to figure out what to write about my friend just turned off her computer screen to make sure her hair looks ok...Perfect thing to write about. I know I don’t like looking like a mess! If my hair isn’t doing what I want it to do or if my outfit doesn’t look just right, that’s allll I can think about my whole day. People care so much about what they look like. Some girls are not confident in themselves and just cake on the make-up to hide their flaws or wear revealing clothing to draw attention to something that they do like about themselves. Why do you think people care so much what they look like? Do you think it’s wrong of them to be this way?

I honestly have no clue why people care so much about what they look like. You can be the prettiest girl in the world but the stupidest too. Looks do matter in the way you carry yourself but personality means so much more in my eyes. I think it's healthly for people to care what they look like but not to an extent where their loosing their true selves with make-up and stuff.
ReplyDeleteI agree with jenny. Looks do matter, but personality means so much. A guy may at first be attracted to the way a girl looks, but once he gets past that, if he doesnt like her personality, her looks wont matter. Unless he's just trying to get with her. Its not bad for a girl to want to impress a guy, but when they try to over impress them it just becomes unattractive.
ReplyDeleteHaha! I've done the computer thing! Honestly, that's a tough question. I don't really know why people, including myself, care about appearances. It might just be that animalistic trait that wants to attract a mate.. (in reference to the skanks in booty shorts.) I, personally, feel strange if I'm not dressed up or whatever the case. It's kind of about looking presentable. To some, it makes them feel better.. and in most cases, LOOK better! I wear makeup because without it, I look tired. Or like how Jimmy Saintel worded it --

I think it's a good thing to care about what you look like and you should want to take some pride in your appearance. However, there are extremes. I do not think it is necessary to have to look 'perfect' everytime you leave the house, actually, it's a bit obnoxious. Nobody cares about you that much to even really notice that you don't always look perfect. Have some confidence in your natural beauty and with who you really are instead of trying to hide behind other stuff.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jenny too but i think that people care so much about what they look like because they want to make a good impression on other people. Some people worry too much about how others are gonna see them and what they will think. Everyone to some extent cares about what they look like but having a great personality means so much more then what brand you are wearing and what your hair looks like.
ReplyDeleteNo i dont think it's wrong to think about what you look like but it isn't cool when girls but lots and lots of make-up on. that's just going over board. It's good to take care of your self in grooming, its a healthy thing to do, but it shouldn't be to look good for other people, it should just be for making yourself happy.
ReplyDeleteI think people care so much about what they look like because they want to fit in. People are constantly trying to impress everyone around them instead of just trying to make themselves happy. Its all about fitting into what eveyone else thinks is normal.
